Really nice build quality on this, the thumb cluster is well designed, pops right up in VIA for easy remapping. I do wish we had south facing LEDs but thats minor. Highly recommended!

The kit arrived pretty quickly and was a joy to assemble and really straightforward. It's great for having an introduction into this type of keyboards without having to spend a huge amount of money or having to go through a lengthy soldering process. It's my first ergo so I'm still getting used to the new layout

This keyboard is a great starter keyboard I'd you're looking to get into custom split keyboards. Maybe even a good endgame keyboard.

Assembly was easy, due to very easy to follow instructions.

Great product. The aluminum frame with drop’s Kailh Jade switches makes it sounds like a typewriter. Very happy with the purchase.

This is my second iris, you can see in the pictures that I had the original MX Iris (Rev 7) first. Ever since I got my first Iris, I wanted to try a low profile split keyboard that gives me a better wrist angle for my typing style. Since getting the CE, my first Iris has been packed away!

Super easy to assemble, no soldering needed. The Iris (MX or low profile) is honestly one of the easiest ways to get into the split ergo scene without having to do any soldering, but while being able to customize which switches and keycaps you want.

The aluminum plates feel great. I use sunset chocs with DDC keycaps. I also use a magnetic cable so that it is easy to switch sides without having to stress the USB-C port. I modified the firmware to have VIA with 6 layers, with two separate base layers for Windows and macOS.

I actually selected it based on the price but it turns out this keyboard brings unique features to the world of mechanical keyboards and I couldn't be happier with it.

I paired it with a standard set of keycaps (mystery set from cannon keys) and asked Keeb.io to let me order switches separately. Super nice of them to be flexible on that! I went with Haimu Whisper Tactiles and am in love with the build.

This was my first time soldering a keyboard from PCB and I was surprised at how easy and fun it was to put together.

I am also extremely happy with the dead-simple programmability of each individual keys, and the built-in LED underglow doesn't hurt either.

Very fun keyboard to type on! Highly recommendedd especially to the budget conscious. I'm racking my brains to figure out why this is cheaper than other split keyboards. Beats me!

So fun to type on, and the ortho layout only took me a couple of days to adjust to, having never used one before.

I love my sinc so much for gaming. Most of the day i keep both halves out, but I can stash away the right half and get back so much mouse room it's insane. Plus the macros are useful for artisan displaying. Wonderfully board

I've built three of these now in assorted generations of PCB and they are all great. I love the rotary dials and the full-sized split board (I can't lose my function keys). If you made an Ortho linear version I'd probably end up with 3 of those too.

I recently bought an Iris 8, this was my 2nd Iris and it's just an amazing design. It fits my hands well, the layout is practically perfect, and the ease of use, especially with the via support is fantastic.

The customer service from the vendor is top notch, and if you choose ANY of their boards you will not regret it.

IMHO - the Iris is his best design, but the others are extremely valid and whichever one resonates for you should be grabbed ASAP

I had so much fun putting this thing together, and it was my first time soldering a pcb. However it was very easy. I built this using Marandi switches and CYL Dots R2 keycaps and it turned out great. Highly recommend. Keebio was also really nice, as I had forgot to add the plate to the order and they gave it to me with no extra shipping cost.

First time ever making anything mechanical keyboard wise. Have learned so much and found i have very niche use cases and potential preferences :D

Would be 6 stars if boards were 'open source' as it seems to limit our 3rd party build options? Or so ive heard.

Using a 6.1 pcb kit i got very affordably as sale/b-stock.
Plates and all parts possible were b stock as well.
Bought a frosted acrylic mid plate.

Keys being heard are made from Gazzew U4 housings + Drop Halo RGB Stems & Gold Plated 2 Stage (62g) Durock Springs (for now).

Lube used is an old proprietary paintball lube called Hater Sauce Marmalade (It’s the green less viscous stuff. It’s designed to work well with pom). It’s similar, I believe, to what Gazzew recommends using.

Thumb clusters are utilizing stock but personally lubed Halo drop switches with what i assume is PC frost caps. Anime caps are made of PBT according to amazon.

Also testing a custom spring mod. Using the typically recommended plate to pcb spacer foam and popular packing foam mod for between the switches and pcb. Right side has felt weather-seal, left has no plate foam yet.

Still a big WIP atm.

My only issue is not knowing if or how to control my under-glow separately from the switch leds but honestly the interactive led profiles have been very fun so far.

This is my first experience with a split/ergo keyboard of any kind and I couldn't have chose a better board - I purchased two, one was a birthday gift for a friend and the other for myself. It has been nearly 1 month since the boards arrived and my friend and I have both got rid of our old boards and strictly prefer the iris at this point. One comment i would like to make is one of the boards had an RGB node that was faulty causing some weird RGB issues, I reached out to customer service about the issue and they had a new board in the mail within the hour with a return label included. the customer service and the product itself both get a 10/10 in my books.

It really shows that the Keebio team deeply cares about their products and their customers. The quality feels really good and it seems like there was a lot of thought put into the design. The assembly was hillariously easy because the steps were simple and the assembly guide was very well done. No prior knowledge was required. I really like the compact design and the resulting portability.

It does take some time and efford to get used to the layout, but that's to be expected. One tiny nitpick I have is that the default configuration uses the right alt key only, which on european keyboard layouts differs in functionality to left alt. This made me unable to access some shortcuts at first, but since you can easily change the layout it wasn't a big deal.

I'm very satisfied over all and happy to spend more money here in the future. :)
