Perfect!

Daily driver for a few years now and would 100% buy again. Pricey, sure, but worth every penny if you would be using it daily.

For me, I'm a software dev & PC gamer, so I sit at my PC and type a lot. The Preonic was my first ortholinear, but it was giving me wrist pain over the years due to how cramped your hands have to be.

The Nyquist has been a perfect way to switch into the split world without needing to relearn how to type again, and it fixed my wrist pain entirely! The shipped Durock Shrimps feel like a dream. The extra keys on the left (compared to layouts like the iris) has made it really easy to keep using for PC gaming as well. QMK firmware & updating keybinds via the "VIA" website has been a dream as well.

Only real complaint is that I've noticed some lingering soreness in my left thumb, which I exclusively use for hitting space, and I think this is largely due to the somewhat cramped posture your thumb has to sit in for typing. I'd probably consider something with an Iris-like thumb cluster if I ever need to switch.

I also had it premade without hot-swappable keys, as I've pretty much never swapped out my keys before. Of course, the one time I don't need it was the one time a switch went bad, but a few quick YouTube videos on soldering & some relatively cheap equipment let me fix it up pretty quick!

Hi Dustin,
Excited to hear your split-ortholinear Nyquist has been serving you well for a few years now! It's good to have a workhorse that can develop and game for you. Glad the fix went easily! Definitely reach out to us if you need anything else.
Happy Typing,
Kayla at Keebio! :)

Love my Nyquist! This one will stay in the office and make all our devs question what they are doing with their keyboard budget.
