Keebio wants everyone to be able to browse, configure, and buy from keeb.io, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with disabilities.

What we've done

• Raised the color contrast of text, buttons, prices, and links across the store.
• Made the main menu, cart, search, and product filters fully usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
• Kept keyboard focus inside the cart and menu panels while they are open, and returned it to where you were when they close.
• Added text labels to icon buttons, form fields, star ratings, and expandable sections so screen readers announce them correctly.
• Built product options and collection filters from standard form controls, so their state is announced.

Known limitations

We're still working on a few areas:

• Product photo descriptions. Many product photos currently share the product's name as their description. We're adding a description for each photo, starting with our keyboards.
• Third-party content. Customer reviews, our blog at blog.keeb.io, and our community Discord server are provided through outside services, and we can't fully control how they work.
• Checkout and customer accounts. These pages are run by Shopify. Shopify publishes its own accessibility information.

If anything on our site makes it hard for you to find information or place an order, please email us at [email protected]. It helps to include the page address and a short description of what happened, but it isn't required.

If something on the site keeps you from ordering, we'll help you place your order by email instead.

Ongoing work

We review the site with automated accessibility testing tools and are adding regular testing with screen readers. We'll update this page as we make changes.
