Top/bottom plates for the Levinson keyboard. The middle layers are optional and can be added in between the top and bottom plates at any time (stainless steel and acrylic plate versions only).
These plates are backwards-compatible with the Let's Split v2, if you want to use it with those PCBs.
B-stock Stainless Steel Plates: One of the holes on each switch plate are smaller than the rest and needs to be drilled out larger to fit the screw. Note that when drilling, the center of the small hole is not aligned with the centers of the other screws.
Plates for the Levinson are offered in these variants:
These plates are made from 1.6mm PCB material (FR-4)
Plates w/interior screws - screws are hidden, and when the two halves are placed next to each other, it looks like a Planck
Plates w/exterior screw - same design as the stainless steel plates
The flex is comparable to 3mm acrylic
16 gauge (1.56mm) 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish
Note that the backside of each plate may have scratches on it, but they are hidden when the board is assembled
3mm thick plates, available in black or white
Note: Does not support 2u stabilizer. The cutout may look like it support the 2u stabilizer, but the design is incorrect for 3mm plates, so the stabilizers will not fit. These plates can be used in an all 1u configuration or with a 2u key w/o stabilizer.
The plates come with the following:
2 Switch plates
2 Bottom plates
For the PCB plates w/interior screws:
16 M2 6mm screws
8 M2 11mm standoffs
For the stainless steel, acrylic, and PCB plates w/exterior screws:
32 M2 6mm screws
16 M2 11mm standoffs
Switch plates are compatible with MX and Alps switches and support MX switch top removal. Note that for the non-1u cutouts however, the switches won't have anything on the plate to grab on to, so you need to be careful with alignment when soldering the switch.
