Case for the Iris keyboard. The cases consists of two sets of parts, top/bottom plates and middle layers. The middle layers are optional and can be added in between the top and bottom plates at any time (compatible with stainless steel, acrylic, and PCB w/exterior screws plates only).
Plates for the Iris are offered in these variants:
FR-4 PCB material
These plates are made from 1.6mm PCB material (FR-4)
Plates w/interior screws - screws are hidden
Plates w/exterior screws - same design as the stainless steel plates
The flex is comparable to 3mm acrylic
Aluminum PCB material
Stiffer than the FR-4 PCB material
Black on one side, bare aluminum on the other side
Exterior screw design
16 gauge (1.56mm) 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish
Note that the backside of each plate may have scratches on it, but they are hidden when the board is assembled
Screws and standoffs are along the outside border of the plates
Top and bottom layers
Same design as the stainless steel plates
Note: Does not support 2u stabilizer. The cutout may look like it support the 2u stabilizer, but the design is incorrect for 3mm plates, so the stabilizers will not fit. These plates can be used in an all 1u configuration or with a 2u key w/o stabilizer.
The plates come with the following:
2 Switch plates
2 Bottom plates
For the PCB plates w/interior screws:
20 M2 6mm screws
10 M2 12mm standoffs
For the stainless steel, acrylic, and PCB plates w/exterior screws:
40 M2 6mm screws
20 M2 12mm standoffs (steel and PCB plates) or 10mm standoffs for acrylic plates
Switch plates are compatible with MX and Alps switches and support MX switch top removal. Note that for the non-1u cutouts however, the switches won't have anything on the plate to grab on to, so you need to be careful with alignment when soldering the switch.

This 10mm thick middle layer is used to encase the area between the top and bottom plates. Compatible with the stainless steel or acrylic plates and the design posted on GitHub.
Note: This is not compatible with the PCB plates with the 5 interior screws, but is compatible with the PCB plates that have exterior screws.
