Item Contents

  • Left half PCB
  • Right half PCB

  • On-board ATmega32u4 controller
  • USB-C port
  • 6 RGB underglow LEDs per half (12 total)
  • In-switch LED support
  • Option for rotary encoder at lower left corner of left half
  • Pre-flashed with QMK Firmware and VIA configurator support

Each half of the board is a 4x6 matrix with the same vertical stagger as the Ergodox and with 3-4 thumb keys. The 2u thumb key can be replaced with 2 1u keys. The spot for the 2u has holes for Cherry PCB mounted stabilizers.

There's also a spot on the PCB for a pushbutton switch to reset the Pro Micro for flashing. No more taking a wire/tweezers/screwdriver to jump the Reset and GND pins!

Many thanks to Lewis Ridden (/u/GAMING_FACE) for coming up with this design.

    Build Guide

Build guide can be found here: Iris Rev. 3 Build Guide

    QMK Firmware

The Iris uses QMK for its firmware, and the code for it is here: QMK - Iris directory.

Current Iris Rev. 2 cases will be compatible with the Rev. 3 PCB, but the bottom plate needs an additional hole drilled in it for easy access to the reset button.
