BFO-9000 PCB Kit - Customizable Full-Size Split Ortholinear

$19.99 $19.99 Sale Save

Need even more keys than the Viterbi? Awesome, we've got a split board with up to 6 rows and 9 columns! Don't need that many rows or columns? Well that's cool too, the PCB features break off pieces to allow for 4 to 6 rows and 7 to 9 columns.

The Rev. 1.4 PCBs are able to be used with MX-compatible, Alps-compatible, and Kailh Low-Profile Choc switches.

New! The PCBs now have components pre-soldered to the board, all you need to solder on are your switches and microcontrollers. Also with Rev. 1.4, the TRRS jacks have been replaced with USB-C.

    The Name

The name is derived from that big gun in Doom. The 'B' stands for Big, the 'O' for Ortho, and the 'F' for ... well you know.

    2 BFO-9000 PCBs with these components pre-soldered:

    • Push buttons for reset
    • USB-C ports (both are wired to each other, so you may use either one)
    • 1N4148 diodes

This keyboard uses the popular open-source QMK Firmware with VIA enabled out of the box to allow you to remap all the keys just the way you want them.

Plug your keyboard in, open up the VIA app, and easily change what each key does to get the most out of your keyboard with your customizations! More info on what you can do here: VIA Usage Guide

Each half can be used on its own as well, if you want just a large macropad.

    Default Keymapping

The default keymapping that the board is pre-programmed with can be found here: Default Keymaps

    PCB Design Files

The PCB design files have been made available on GitHub
